Me when I saw this headline:

But really though! Umbrella Academy, if you’ve never had the pleasure, is a graphic novel written by My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. It’s based on a group of special kids (akin to Marvel Comics Fantastic Four) in an alternate history where John F. Kennedy was never assassinated and is mostly set in 1977 (the year of writer Way’s birth.) It gets more complicated from there, but it’s really good (according to me, so trust me.) Now Netflix has picked it up for a 10-episode, live-action series slated for release in 2018 and I couldn’t be more excited! YOU SHOULD BE TOO! Did I mention how good it is?

Here’s what Way had to say: “I am thrilled that The Umbrella Academy has found a home at Netflix. I couldn’t think of a better place for the vision Gabriel Bá and myself had when creating the comic and cannot wait for people to experience that world as a live-action show.”

Neither can I!
