Correction: Jared Leto has never seen any of his films no matter the role, apparently. According to an interview with SyFy, he let that fact slip out. His reasoning? “I just think with watching your own films, it can be too self-conscious of a process. You either like what you did and you’re prone to repeat it, or you didn’t like it, and it can make you self-conscious. I’m not sure how much win there is for me. But I read the scripts, so I know what’s going to happen.”
You’ll remember, Leto made the news for completely getting into character while shooting Suicide Squad, which had him starring along actors like Will Smith (Deadshot) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and while the film didn’t fare so well with critics, it was a hit with fans. Critics argued, however, that they found Leto was not on camera too often, which the internet agreed.
There’s a possible Suicide Squad sequel on the horizon, which Leto may or may not be appearing in. We’ll have to wait and see, as he hasn’t yet confirmed anything…
