Take the plunge; move to Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World and become the owner of a Texas music venue! The owners of The Parish, are auctioning off the venue on eBay. The bidding started at $1 and has reached $249,999!
The Parish is located on Austin’s historic 6th Street, and has been host to acts from Thom Yorke, Bon Iver, The Struts and more. It’s 5,300 square feet, holds a 425 person capacity, and is known for being the best venue around for its size.
Of course, once an undisclosed cap is met, then and only then will an actual sale take place. It’s also for a lease, so don’t expect to gain property. But here’s what you do get:
-12-year lease of the building with two five-year renewal options.
-Two large bars and green rooms
-A private office
-In-house lighting, production capabilities and a new Nexo sound system.
-The option to purchase the current owner’s liquor license from the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission.
Here’s the kicker: shows are already booked for the venue through next year.
Check out this video from 2013….kind of sums up the place.
