The Strokes haven’t been making music as a band lately, but individually they’re all over the place. Julian Casablancas has his side band The Voidz, Nikolai Fraiture has been jamming with his other band Summer Moon (with Jane’s Addiction’s Stephen Perkins; Uh Huh Huh Her’s Camila Grey; and Airborne Toxic Event’s Noah Harmon), Fabrizio Moretti is chilling with his family, and Albert Hammond Jr. has been releasing music as a solo artist and just announced his fourth solo album Francis Trouble.
Francis Trouble has a dark inspiration, but the music wouldn’t leave you to believe it. It’s actually about Albert Hammond Jr.’s stillborn twin, Francis. The singer says he never knew about this twin until a finger nail was found embedded in him when he was 36 (apparently from the womb.)
